Steven Lowe - President & CEO

Steven is a highly skilled professional with over 20 years experience in the Mobile Telephony and Finance Industries. Having joined British Telecom in December of 2001 as General Manager of BT Mobile, he led the creation and operation of BT’s MVNO business. Prior to this, Steven held the position of Head of Mobile at Kingston Communications, launching and then leading Kingston’s MVNO mobile business to profitability within 14 months.

Steven entered the Mobile telecoms business in 1995 and has also served at Cellnet (O2 UK) as Head of Customer Care Service Design and Implementation and Head of Operations for the Cellnet Barclaycard alliance, effectively the world’s first MVNO ‘Lite’.

From Cellnet, he moved to One 2 One (now T-Mobile UK) as Senior, then Group Product Manager, leading a team focussing on the customer facing aspects of the business, including Registration and Provisioning, Billing, Pre-Pay and Customer Relationship Management.

Prior to his move into telecommunications, Steven held the role of Branch Manager for Midland Bank PLC and following that, ran his own Financial Consultancy business for four years.

Steven left BT in October 2004 and is Founder and CEO of MVNO Partners Limited.

Steven is one of the foremost MVNO experts in the UK, with practical hands-on experience of having built and headed two UK MVNO businesses end-to-end, for Kingston Communications and British Telecom respectively.

• He has negotiated with a number of global network operators over the past few years, including the negotiation of BT’s ground-breaking ‘full blown’ UK MVNO deal secured with Vodafone during 2004, in addition to leading negotiations for several planned MVNOs
• His comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end MVNO business and operational processes means that he is able to lead the definition and build of the MVNO, ensuring that it has the most appropriate business architecture. It also means that a comprehensive and accurate financial model can be built to assess the financial implications of different business planning scenarios
• Having headed MVNO businesses, Steven understands the critical drivers involved creating a sustainable and successful MVNO business
• Steven is also an experienced Prince 2 Project Management and Professional Project Management (PPM) practitioner and this, combined with his detailed knowledge and experience of the MVNO business makes him an ideal programme manager for the design, build, launch and consolidation of MVNO businesses.
